




On June 3rd 2008, the opening ceremony of¡°The Inward Image and Colorful
Poem¡±¡ª¡ªPainting Exhibition of Chai Zushun was held in Liu Haisu Art Museum. This
exhibition was hosted by Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation.
On the ceremony, Mr. Shen Genlin, Executive Director of Shanghai Cultural
Development Foundation, Mr.Zhang Peicheng, Director of Liu Haisu Art Museum and
famous painter Mr. Chai Zushun addressed speeches. Mr. Li Lei, Executive
Director of Shanghai Art Museum, Mr. Li Xiangyang, Executive Director of
Shanghai Oil Paintings and Sculpture Institute and Mr. Ye Enguo, Vice Director
of Material Management Center of Shanghai Charity Foundation attended the
ceremony.
On the ceremony, Chai Zushun donated two grant
paintings,¡°Commemoration¡±and¡°Charm of Water Lily in Puissant Era¡±, to Shanghai
Charity Foundation and Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation
respectively.¡°Commemoration¡±is painted for the victims in¡°5¡¤12¡±Wenchuan
earthquake disaster. This panting will be donated to the disaster area by
Shanghai Charity Foundation after auction. The donating of¡°Charm of Water Lily
in Puissant Era¡±expressed Mr. Chai¡¯s support to the public benefit culture of
Shanghai.
¡°The Inward Image and Colorful Poem¡±¡ª¡ªPainting Exhibition of Chai Zushun
exhibited 60 paintings on¡°Golden Mountains and Rivers¡±that were created in
recent years. In this period, Chai Zushun has made tremendous progress in the
process of studying international contemporary art and working over new artistic
conception. Under his pens, the traditional Chinese mountains and rivers
demonstrated incomparable power and grandeur.
As an artist insisting his aesthetics, Mr. Chai would never change his
pursuit, in spite of all kinds of setbacks. From realism oil painting to¡°Dragon
and Tiger¡±style and¡°Golden Mountains and Rivers¡±, it is a reflection of Mr.
Chai¡¯s maturing and innovating.
The exhibition of Chai Zushun¡¯s works held at Liu Haisu Art Museum by SHCDF
will give the audience an introduction of the complete experience and
achievements of this new Shanghai style artist with various thinking of life and
art transformation in different time background.
The exhibition will last till June 15th (except Monday) and open to public
freely.
